BIO
Giulia Dall’Olio
(Bologna, 1983)
Giulia Dall’Olio graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. The artist investigates the anthropization process using painting and drawing. Her works represent a blooming nature without any borders. Unlimited details and illegible signs coexist in the artist’s works, they become a metaphor of the human action and bring to a reflection on the invisible, the spirituality of a Nature that changes and constantly evolves trying to overcome, through time, the consequences of the phenomenon. The techniques applied on paper and Carton Plume represent for Dall’Olio a way to relate with herself; the nature becomes the symbol of an intimistic research that does not have a clear form, it is continuously evolving. Her works seem a statement of one’s self portrayed in an anonymous and abstract shape, the acronym used as title for each work keeps track of the entire artist’s production and is a proof of this way of painting herself through plants. The artist lives and works in Trieste, IT.
