BIO

Enne Boi

Enne Boi (Cantù, 1989) lives and works in Bologna.

From 2008 to 2011, he attended the three-year course in Painting and Visual Arts at NABA in Milan, where he founded the collective F84. In 2013, he moved to Ghent, Belgium, where he earned a Master’s in Fine Arts at the KASK School of Arts and won the first prize Stitching René Bruynseraede-De Witte. He has exhibited his work in solo and group shows at galleries, institutions, and museums across Europe, including the Menegaz Foundation (Castellalto), Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso Museum (Amarante), Museu de l’Empordà (Figueres), Pinacoteca Civica (Como), Centre de la Gravure Museum (La Louvière), and Musée Royal d’Histoire Militaire (Brussels). Enne Boi’s work revolves around the enigmatic nature of figurative painting, exploring the structural elements of this medium, often crossing into the realms of sculpture and installation. Like a kind of rebus, the artist’s visual language is based on a juxtaposition of elements in which instinctive gestures and complex allusions coexist.
