Maddalena Tesser (Vittorio Veneto IT, 1992)

Maddalena Tesser is an ‘artist whose language is expressed through painting and drawing.

Study and experimentation of pictorial matter are the basis of her practice, which evolves in continuity with her poetics of the feminine. Her works are moments in which the spirit unites with the external world, in which the soul, body and space – maintaining their intrinsic power – become one, in harmony.

During the study period, She take part in several exhibitions and other kind of artistic events, such as : “aplaceforUrs”, project created by Urs Fisher, Academy of Fine Arts in Venice (2012), 98°Collettiva Giovani Artisti, Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation, Venice (2014), Le Geometrie del Potere workshop curated by Aleksander Velišček and Nebojša Despotović at AplusA Gallery, Venice (2015) and the Peformance “In parte riproducendo forme note, in parte creando mostri sconosciuti: Drawing as Performance”, a project by Andrea Bruciati, Demanio MarittimoK-278, Sinigallia (2015). Moreover, She actively collaborates with the young association Fondazione Malutta, which proposes collective projects: Collezione, Ex-ospizio Santa Marta, Venice (2014), Fondazione Malutta Meets the Albanian Pavilion, Padiglione Albania, 15. Biennale di Architettura, Arsenale, Venice (2016), Collezione Malutta, Monitor Gallery, Rome (2017), Brišit de bardò bardò / aiai caramba, Spazio Buonasera, Turin (2017), Torre Maluttona – Mercato Babelico, Monitor Gallery, Rome (2018) and ATUTTAMALUTTA, itinerary studio-visit supported by Cescot Veneto, Venice (2019). In 2019, She partecipated in the collective exhibition “IF IT IS UNTOUCHABLE IT IS NOT BEAUTIFUL”, curated by Paola Capata at Monitor Gallery in Rome and, in the summer of the same year, She was part of the “Simposio di Pittura” – project by Luigi Presicce – 2nd edition of residence at the Lac o Le Mon Foundation in San Cesareo, Lecce.
