Marcello Nitti
Marcello Nitti (Taranto, 1988) currently lives and works in Lecce.
In 2007 he enrolled in the Painting course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, where he cultivated his interest in figuration. After obtaining his Level I Academic Diploma, he decided to pursue his research independently, deepening his knowledge of the technical and formal aspects of the painting tradition and, at the same time, developing a personal poetics. In recent years he recovers his interest in engraving by developing several projects featuring this technique. In 2019, he enrolled in the course of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, earning the Level II Academic Diploma. In 2021, together with Mauro Curlante, he founded Guado Edizioni, a publishing project that aims to explore contemporary intaglio and the surrounding areas, inviting visual artists to develop unpublished projects for art editions.
