Vera Portatadino
Vera Portatadino (Varese, 1984) is a visual artist living in Milan.
She studied Visual Arts at NABA in Milan and holds a PgDip and an MA in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, UK.
In 2014 he founded Yellow, an independent research project focused on contemporary painting, which he directed until 2019, curating exhibitions, publications and articles.
Recent exhibitions include: The Mountain Touch, curated by Andrea Lerda, Museo Muse, Trento (2024); Pittura Italiana, curated by Damiano Gullì, Triennale Milano (2024); 23rd Cairo Prize, Museo della Permanente, Milan; Medea, curated by Demetrio Paparoni, Antico Mercato di Siracusa (2023); Something Filled Up My Heart With Nothing (solo exhibition), Otto Gallery, Bologna (2022); PUPILLE, Ci fioriscono gli occhi se ci guardiamo, curated by Rita Selvaggio, Casa Masaccio, San Giovanni Valdarno (2022); Botticelli. His time. And our time. Museo Mart, Rovereto (2021); Premio Lissone 2018, Museo MAC, Lissone (2018).
He won the Treviglio Prize in 2018 and in the same year received a special mention from the Gallerie dell’Accademia, Venice, for his distinctive project of reinterpretation of the permanent collection, on the occasion of the Gallerie’s Residency Call. His works are part of private and public collections, such as the permanent collection of the Mart Museum of Contemporary Art.
